What is a 'balanced diet'? |

| The body needs different kinds of food to build different body parts. You also need food to give you energy to do things | |
|
|
Drink enough water - 2 to 3 litres (8 - 12 cups) a day and 3 meals a day. |
|
|
Eat a balanced amount of carbohydrates, proteins and fatty foods with enough fibre. |
|
|
The food pyramid shows you should eat bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, meat, beans, butter, and a lot of vegetables and fruit. |
|
|
Fibre will ensure we go to the toilet daily. |
|
|
If we maintain the above diet with the right calories, we will stay strong and healthy. |
